Sapere Aude is latin for dare to know or have courage to use your own reason. This is the founding principle of Sapere Aude. We want everyone to be able to participate in scholarly debates focused on current research.
Sapere Aude launched in 2013 by Patrick Caveney, a graduate student in the Bredesen Center Energy Science Engineering program studying synthetic biology. He noticed that scientific research is published often, but public discussion surrounding the research is rare. So, Sapere Aude was created.
